Význam hodnot: Epocha - Datum (rok, měsíc, den), pro něž platí uvedené údaje. λ - Zeměpisná délka subsatelitního bodu ve stupních (kladná je východní délka, záporná je západní délka). Δλ - Denní změna polohy vzhledem k zemskému povrchu (změna zeměpisné délky subsatelitního bodu) ve stupních za den (kladná východním směrem, záporná západním směrem). i - Sklon dráhy k rovníku ve stupních.
Stacionární telekomunikační družice. Postavila ji firma Spar Aerospace, Toronto, ON (Kanada) v licenci firmy GE Astro Space (nyní Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co.), East Windsor, NJ (USA). Provozovatelem je Telesat Canada, Gloucester, ON (Kanada).
Tříose stabilizovaná družice odvozená od typu GE-5000 o rozměrech 3.0×2.8×2.3 m s panely slunečních baterií o rozpětí 23.7 m. Slouží především pro vnitrostátní komunikace, zejména pro distribuci televizních programů. Je vybavena 24(+6) převaděči pracujícími v pásmu C (4/6 GHz) a 16(+2) v pásmu Ku (12/14 GHz). Plánovaný bod zavěšení je nad 111° z.d. Předpokládaná životnost je 10 roků.
Předchozí družicí této řady je Anik E2 alias Telesat 10 (1991-026A), další jiného typu je Anik F1 (2000-076A). Další kanadskou stacionární telekomunikační družicí je Nimiq (1999-027A).

1991-09-26 | Nosná raketa vynesla družici nejprve na nízkou přechodovou dráhu, odkud byla převedena prvním manévrem apogeového motoru na vyšší dráhu. Dvěma dalšími restarty byla postupně dosažena předběžná stacionární dráha, po níž se družice pohybovala k místu plánovaného zavěšení. |
