Význam hodnot: Epocha - Datum (rok, měsíc, den), pro něž platí uvedené údaje. λ - Zeměpisná délka subsatelitního bodu ve stupních (kladná je východní délka, záporná je západní délka). Δλ - Denní změna polohy vzhledem k zemskému povrchu (změna zeměpisné délky subsatelitního bodu) ve stupních za den (kladná východním směrem, záporná západním směrem). i - Sklon dráhy k rovníku ve stupních.

Popis objektu

Stacionární telekomunikační družice. Postavila ji firma GE Astro Space (nyní Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co.), East Windsor, NJ (USA). Provozovatelem je společnost Pan American Satellite, Inc. (PanAmSat), Wilton, CT (USA).

Družice typu GE Astro Series 3000 nese 18 převaděčů pracujících v pásmu C (5.925-6.425/3.700-4.200 GHz, šířka pásma 12×36 a 6×72 MHz, výkon 12×8.5 a 6×16.2 W) a 6 převaděčů pracujících v pásmu Ku (14.000-14.500/11.450-11.750 GHz, šířka pásma 6×72 MHz, výkon 6×16.2 W) pro zajištění provozu v oblasti Severní, Střední a Jižní Ameriky a Evropy.

Plánovaný bod zavěšení je nad 45° z.d. Předpokládaná aktivní životnost je 12 roků.

První družice této řady. Další družicí jiného typu je PAS-2 (1994-040A).
