Arkyves is an on-line research and education platform providing access to an extensive collection of images and texts from a number of world institutions over a unique web interface. This unique interface offers its users the chance of conducting a subject search in a set of more 900,000 items from the collections of a number of leading world institutions (e.g. the Dutch Rijksmuseum, RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History, Herzog August Bibliothek and university libraries in Milan, Utrecht, Glasgow and Illinois). The multilingual classification system ICONCLASS makes it possible to filter content on a single topic from various sources in the Arkyves database. The user can make a search not just using an ICONCLASS identifier, but also using key words representing many various objects, events, abstract terms or people. Although Arkyves was developed primarily as a reference tool for the study of cultural history, it also serves as an excellent aid to the classification and description of collection items.

ASPI is an automated system for work with legal information. It contains all the legal regulations issued in the Czech Republic and the legal regulations of the European Union and European Community. All sources are monitored on a regular basis and the contents of the database continually updated with a view to amendments to the legal code. All preceding versions of the given regulations are available in addition to current editions. The service Legislative Process Monitoring also makes it possible to monitor a comprehensive overview of legislative amendments in preparation.
The ASL licence provides access to five principal parts of ASPI:
- The legal regulations of the Czech Republic – czech regulations in complete full-text form from 1918 onwards;
- Jurisprudence – rulings made by courts of all instances and rulings made by a number of other authorities;
- Legal regulations of the EU and jurisprudence of the CJEU – regulations, rulings and other documents (decrees, rulings, guidelines, the jurisprudence of the EU Court of Justice);
- Basic literature – providing access to specialist periodicals, valuable historical literature and the texts of selected publications issued by the publishing house Wolters Kluwer;
- Bibliography – specialist books covering a period dating back to the year 2000 and tens of thousands of articles from specialist periodicals from 1997 onwards.

JCR makes it possible to search for the most cited journals in the given fields, to evaluate the impact of scientific results and to perform further analysis with the help of citation links. Kramerius is a collection of digitalised periodicals and monographs from the Czech Academy of Sciences and its historical precursors, largely covering the nineteenth and twentieth centuries along with newer publications from the holdings of the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Complete bibliographic details and parts of documents that are no longer subject to copyright are freely available; image data from documents subject to copyright is available only on a reserved computer in the study of the LCAS.
Documents can be downloaded in original JPG format, converted to PDF (including a version for electronic readers) and printed.

The EPrints database provides access to the current journal production of institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and a selection of the production of external publishers. It contains full texts of papers from a total of twenty-three periodicals covering a period from 1991 to the present day (this period may differ for individual periodicals). The external publishers represented are the University of Ostrava (Historica), the publishing house Karolinum (Acta Universitatis Carolinae. Oeconomica. Czech Economic Review) and the Society for the History of Sciences and Technology (The History of Science and Technology). The texts of the papers are in the Czech and English languages. A merger with the digital library Kramerius is anticipated in the future.

The Web of Science Core Collection is the main Web of Science database. This multidisciplinary database contains records of impacted journals and konference proceedings from all over the world (including open-access journals. It covers more than 250 branches of science from the year 1900 onwards.

It provides an overview of the literature currently published on selected topics. The following editions are available under the ASL licence:

Data Citation Index is a database focusing on work with research data, data sets and research reports. It makes it possible to discover useful data associated with a selected topic. The ASL licence provides access to the editions Science and Social Sciences & Humanities.
Derwent Innovations Index makes it possible to conduct quick and accurate searches for patents in chemistry, electrotechnics, electronics and engineering. It contains more than 14.3 million discoveries registered with forty of the world’s patent organisations. Derwent Patent Citation Index also makes it possible to search for links between individual patents using citations. The index covers patents stretching back to 1963, with citations dating back to 1973.
KCI-Korean Journal Database contains bibliographic records on papers from around two thousand specialist journals published in Korea. This includes both pre-subscribed journals and journals published in open-access form. Covering a period dating back to 1980.
MEDLINE is a leading bibliographic database in medicine and related sciences created by the US National Library of Medicine. It indexes content from more than 4,900 branch journals published in thirty languages and a selection of relevant documents from newspapers, magazines and news bulletins. The branch thesaurus Medical Subject Headings and CAS registry numbers of chemical substances can be used for search purposes. Covering a period dating back to 1950.
SciELO Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database providing access to specialist texts published in open-access journals in Latin America, Spain, Portugal, the Caribbean and South Africa. Covering a period dating back to 1997.
Zoological Record is the world’s oldest database in animal biology. It contains 4,719 journal titles and other documents including books, research reports and conference proceedings covering a period dating back to 1994. It also contains an extensive database of animal names which, thanks to its coverage dating back to 1864, makes it possible to study the development of individual naming systems.
Web of Science also makes it possible to access the Journal Citation Reports citation databases.
