Science for Peace and Security is a programme supporting co-operation between scientists in NATO member states and other co-operating countries. The results of this co-operation are published in the NATO Science for Peace and Security book edition which is divided into five topic series.

Series A: Chemistry and Biology (SpringerLink)
Series B: Physics and Biophysics (SpringerLink)
Series C: Environmental Security (SpringerLink)

Series D: Information and Communication Security (IOS Press EBooks)

Series D focuses on the security of information, information systems and communication networks. It takes in topics such as signal processing, cryptography, informatics, computer security, research and education networks, artificial intelligence and new possibilities for the use of computer networks in, for example, remote learning and telemedicine. This series contains 29 books from 2007 to the present day.

Series E: Human and Societal Dynamics (IOS Press EBooks)

Series E focuses on human society. It considers new challenges in global security, the economic impact of terrorist attacks, the management of science and security in politics and international relations. It also takes in human resources management – education, specialist training, employee mobility, etc.
